Padiș este unul dintre cele mai frumoase și spectaculoase locuri din România datorită numeroaselor formațiuni carstice remarcabile, care sunt specifice acestei zone. Datorită reliefului carstic remarcabil atât ca întindere, cât și ca amploare și varietate a formelor, situează Padiș-ul pe primul loc din țară în ce privește dezvoltarea formelor carstice, datorită căruia a ajuns vestit în toată țara și nu numai.
În zona Padiș se pot vizita numeroase obiective turistice, dar cele mai spectaculoase sunt: Complexul carstic Cetatile Ponorului – Cel mai grandios fenomen carstic din România, Ghețarul Focul Viu – al treilea, ca mărime, din România, Ghețarul Borțig – al doilea ca mărime din România, Cetatea Rădesei – Peștera cu hornuri din tavan, unică în România, Cascada Bohodei – cea mai mare din Munții Apuseni, Cheile Galbenei, Piatra Galbenei, Cheile Someșului Cald, Amfiteatrul Pietrele Boghii, Avenele din Lumea Pierdută, Rezervația naturală Vârful Cârligaţi, Poiana Ponor, Canionul Oșelu, Cascada Bulbuci, Cheile Jgheabului, Poiana Vărășoaia.
